Superintendent - Lometa ISD is seeking applications for District Superintendent

Certification: Valid Texas Superintendent certification required

Key Qualifications:

• Extensive background in curriculum and academic achievement.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, public school finance, and grant writing.

• Firm belief in high standards for students and staff.

• Strong desire and ability to build relationships through open, transparent communication with the Board, administration, faculty, staff, and community.

Elementary Principal

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Principal Certification (or eligibility for certification)

• Experience in student and staff management

• Demonstrated expertise in data-driven decision-making processes

Preferred Characteristics: The ideal candidate is a dynamic, visionary leader who thrives in a small-school environment. We seek someone who is:

• Self-motivated and proactive — a true self-starter with the initiative to identify opportunities and drive positive change independently

• Innovative and forward-thinking — eager to research, develop, and implement new initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, and school culture

• Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with strong communication skills to build partnerships with staff, families, and the community

The successful candidate will serve as the instructional leader for the elementary campus, overseeing curriculum, staff development, student discipline, and daily operations while collaborating closely with the superintendent and secondary principal.

Current Openings - School Year - 2025-2026.

Pre-K Teacher - Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree and EC certification.  Salary will be prorated according to the published scale above.

Bus Driver - CDL and Passenger Endorsement Required. Credentials may be obtained after hiring if necessary.

General Professional Staff Pay and Benefits:

• Salary will be commensurate to experience according to local salary schedules where applicable. 

• Yearly instructional bonus of $3000.  

• $300/month toward health insurance.

• Low-cost day-care for students of staff.
